This course addresses how to properly and effectively assess for spouse/partner abuse, consider the cultural factors involved, and teaches the healthcare provider how to detect such abuse. The dynamics of same-gender partner abuse are also considered. Finally, intervention strategies for this abuse are provided along with a listing of community resources. 

This course is an online, non-interactive, reading based, self-paced, and asynchronous course.
